The Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) program serves as a bridge to opportunity—connecting residents to essential tools, resources, and support that promote healthier, stronger, and more independent lives.
Through compassion, advocacy, and meaningful partnerships, Resident Service Coordinators help residents overcome barriers, strengthen stability, and access opportunities that enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
SHA Resident Service Coordinators make a difference by connecting residents to community resources that promote health and wellness, expand digital equity and learning opportunities, encouraging education and self-sufficiency, financial stability, advocacy/guidance and empowerment.
Resident Service Coordinators collaborate with local organizations, agencies, and service providers to create stronger support systems and healthier communities. Together, we are transforming housing into vibrant, service-enriched communities where residents feel supported, valued, and empowered.

Future Forward
Future Forward is a voluntary program for state funded public housing participants that partners residents with supportive one-on-one coaching, personalized goal planning, community resources, financial education and employment and training opportunities. Whether participants are focused on advancing their education, increasing income, improving credit, purchasing a home, or creating long-term financial security, the program is designed to support each individual during every step of the journey.
One of the program’s most exciting benefits is the opportunity to build savings through a special escrow account. As participants increase their earned income, a portion of their rent increase may be deposited into a savings account by the Housing Authority. Participants can access this account upon successful completion of the program, which includes accomplishing three goals residents have set for themselves. This escrow account can enable families to invest in their futures, reduce debt, continue their education, or achieve homeownership goals.
